April 15-18th Science Structures

When first building our towers using toothpicks and plasticine, we found that square turned into cubes and triangles helped our structure from falling down. A problem we had was our toothpicks coming away from the plasticine. We also had to learn how much plasticine we needed for each joint (vertices)

Science Challenges

The next challenge was to build a tower with a platform that can hold weight. We tested the strengths of our structures by slowly adding magnetic blocks one at a time. Many of our structures could hold a large amount of weight.
