April 22-26

Our Grade 6s had a fantastic time at Camp Chief Hector. They hiked, explored, created, learned, made new friendships. At camp, they spent four days away from technology, immersing themselves in the great outdoors and connecting with nature. They learned many new teamwork games, including the economy game, and in the evenings, they enjoyed songs and stories at the campfire. At night, they slept in cozy bunk rooms.

Back at school the Grade 4s and 5s learned about Earth Day and participated in some land-based learning including math using found objects. They also worked on 2 new poems one about spring and the other about trees. They also enjoyed new equipment in the gym as part of our gymnastics unit.
